Golden Globes Faves and Fails

Greetings from the couch! I've been planted either here or in bed for the last 3 days battling a yucktastic cold. I did, however, manage to wake up and watch the globes.

I just love awards season. My favorite part is obviously the dresses. Last year was a little lackluster for me, but this year there were a few dresses that made me think - "Yes- that's what it's all about!"

Olivia Wilde always looks fabulous in my opinion. This one was by FAR my favorite. I just feel like Hollywood awards shows are the perfect opportunity to go all-out girly and big. Love this.

I also loved Anne Hathaway in this. 

Catherine Zeta-Jones - gorgeous and rich and unapologetically glam. 

Eva Longoria - so chic. 

I loved Julie Bowen's ruffles. I could totally see Carrie Underwood in something like this. 

Maria Menunos - kind of pageanty but I like it. 

January Jones - YOWZA. This is so not my style but you have to hand it to her, girl looks awesome. I think I have a new girl crush. 

Halle Berry - same thing! I would never wear this, but she just gets more and more gorgeous every year. I just found my new workout motivation.

AND FOR THE FAILS (in my humble opinion)...

Natalie Portman - not good. I hated the flower. It looks as if someone ran to Hobby Lobby last minute, grabbed a sparkly flower and stuck this on her as she ran out the door. And...did anyone else notice that her hair was leaning to the right all night long? 

Tilda Swinton - Sometimes she looks normal and glamorous. Other times she looks like this.
