Happy Holidays!

I'm alive!

I have a few very good excuses for my failure to blog over the past few months.

1. We have been building a house. We close this coming week and I thought we'd NEVER get here! Building a house is so fun, but so much work!

2. Between the sale of Ryan's townhouse and the completion of our new home, we've been living with his parents. They are just the best...seriously. We just moved in with all of our junk and dirty laundry and they welcomed us with open arms. Plus, we get to be "home" for the holiday season rather than in some apartment or extended stay hotel. That being said, no internet. That'd be reason #2 for not blogging.

3. Oh yes, we're still planning a wedding! I have to admit, I have been a laaaaaazy bride. I honestly was just so excited to be engaged that I thought I'd soak it in a while...and here we are. We're approximately 4 months from the big day and I'm just getting going. Have you ever tried planning a wedding from your iPhone (remember, no internet)? It's not ideal.

Here are some pictures from the past few months...just a little photo montage of October through now.

The last "normal" activity before all this craziness began...Halloween.

In November Ryan ran the NYC marathon!

We made a little vacation out of it. Will you just look at Central Park in November? I die.

18.5 mile mark...totally fine! Such a stud.

Ryan's parents and sister came up to NYC to support him. One of our best friends Jody also made the trip. Here we are all bundled up outside my fave - Cafeteria

While Ryan was busy training for and running his marathon, I was rediscovering my love for Jack in the Box tacos...and really any comfort food period. We moved out of the townhouse the week after NYC, so the stress eating began about that time.

Speaking of eating...we started taking pictures while out to dinner with the kids. I think I embarrass Ryan when I whip out the iPhone and announce that it's "dinner pic" time, but I just like to document things! I think even the little things should be captured.

Finally - our new home, almost completed. I just love it. I keep calling it my "Southern Living House". I have ripped pages out of magazines for so long in preparation for this and I still can't believe it's real.

I promise to be a better blogger. After the big move, that is. Merry Christmas, Y'all!
