1. Don't laugh, but I just NOW for the first time ever...got my passport!! Yes that's right - I've never left the country. I've lived in Texas my whole life and never even been to Mexico! Sad, I know. But- one of my best friends is getting married in Mexico this summer and I'm a bridesmaid, so I had to get it. As silly as it sounds, it's such a good feeling to know that the world is just a plane ride away!
2. I made a little trip to Anthropologie this weekend and I just feel the need to warn someone: Do not set foot in this whimsical place this season unless you either (a) have endless funds (b) have a burning desire to see what life is like below the poverty line. I'm not a die-hard anthro lover...its kind of hit or miss for me sometimes. However, the following had to come home with me:
{How cuuuute are these?}
There is so much more. I'm fighting the urge to go back.
3. Speaking of clothes, I've recently seen a couple of blog sales and I think it's SUCH an awesome idea. I know I have a handful of readers, but I'm pretty sure most of my daily visitors are my family, so this could be a total non-event/flop. That being said - my closet is bursting at the seams. It's time for a SERIOUS purge but I have a hard time sending some of this stuff to Goodwill. So, should I do it? Any suggestions? Help!
4. Hayden has a new found interest in making her daddy lunch for the next day- and it is the funniest/cutest thing ever. She will NOT let anyone help her and she stands on her step-stool in the kitchen and puts the most random things into a red lunchbox - applesauce, pirate's booty, granola bars...you name it.
I hope everyone is having a great week!

Don't worry I don't have a passport either, and am putting it off as long as I can. I've actually left the country, but just Mexico and other American territiories that you didn't need a passport for at the time. Hopefully I'll have a reason to get it sometime soon though, I could use a good vaca!
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to say, but I don't have a passport and I'm almost 32! I've been to Canada once and Mexico 3 times now, but that was before 9/11 and you didn't have to have a passport, just your birth certificate. How fun to go to a friend's wedding in Mexico! I love the items you got from Anthro, I've been trying to resist checking out all of their new items online but I'm probably about to cave. Totally off subject, but what did you think of the Women Tell All the other night?!?
ReplyDeleteLove your Anthropologie finds. I went there last week and it was a huuuge mistake! I always end up spending wayyy too much there. The picture of your daughter is adorable :)
ReplyDeleteOh.. cute pants + great blog!
