Crossfit Competition: Check.

So, I did it! Just when you think you're getting good at something you realize that there are A LOT of people better than you! I came in 11th of 12 people in my division. hahaha! But - it was a fundraiser so I wanted to show my support and step out of my comfort zone. Mission accomplished.

I have to give a shout out to my friend Jody. She is such an inspiration to me as a strong woman and as an athlete. There is NO way I would have done this without her pushing me! Actually, she pushes me all the time. I am SO lucky to have her in my corner every day.

Here we are - mid burpee. Can you tell I'm about to die? At this point I was choking for air.

And yes, that is my favorite Baby Gap headband/elementary school braid combo.

Look at Jody and that 65 lb thruster. Whew!

Here I am with my little 45 lb bar. It got reeeeally heavy after 25 reps!

About to begin my 500 meter row...I look very chill but I was freaking out. Big time.

The whole crew after the competition

Immediately after the girls went to lunch and I had a full-fat cheeseburger WITH the bread. I haven't eaten a cheeseburger with the bread in months! It was heavenly and well-deserved.
To my friends and family who are totally shocked that their girly girl would do something like this: I'm still me! I'm just a little tougher and a little firmer. :)

  3. That is very impressive! I have wanted to do cross fit, but don't have the funds right now. Maybe when I get a job I can do it and they give a discount to firefighters & emts locally maybe they will consider a nurse too! ;)
