Friday night our group went to dinner at the Gristmill, which was soooo delish. We took a few pictures and I decided that I want to create this wildflowery look on my back patio. Wish my black thumb and I good luck!
One of my oldest and best friends Catie (who lives in NB) came and met us, and I loved seeing her face! After dinner we went to Gruene Hall (Texas' oldest dance hall for those of you elsewhere) for the night. I can't believe I've lived in TX my entire life and have never been here! It was kind of magical.
Saturday we floated the Comal, which was a blast. It was sort of a "pretend you're in college again" kind of experience. We floated for 4 hours and were so sad when it was over!
Look how happy my husband is - all Aggie'd out and on the water.
Saturday night we went to see Girl Talk in concert. This was definitely a "pretend you're in college again" experience, but the MOST fun. For those of you who know me, I was "cool". I didn't start yawning at 8:30, I drank more than one glass of wine, and I danced the night away. My IRL friends who know what a granny I can be were so proud!
Ryan and I finished off the weekend with wine, gumbo, and the season premier of True Blood.
I have to say I'm starting to get a little confused - especially now that the show is deviating from the Sookie Stackhouse books. Even so, I'm VERY excited that TB is back.
Whew! That was long. I hope y'all had a great weekend also!

Floating in that river looks amazing! How fun. Glad you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWe spent the whole weekend catching up on Season 3 of True Blood while we were house sitting, so we could watch the premiere of season 4 Sunday night, only for my husband to absolutely crash on the couch 10 minutes before it started. I was so bummed, I heard it was fantastic!
Going in my books as one of my top 100 weekends so far. Looking forward to many, many more fabulous vacations with our besties. OH, btw, GT is going to be an annual event.. until we REALLY are granny's.
