We've arrived.

You know when you're 16 and you're eating your 3rd round of fast food for the day and your mom says "You know honey - one day your metabolism will slow down and you're going to have to watch what you eat." Obviously 16 year old you completely ignores this warning until 4 days shy of your 25th birthday when you realize...BAM. YOU'RE THERE.

Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I love to eat. I eat my feelings, I bake when I'm stressed...I am a firm believer that good food is good for the soul. Well - I'm not so firm anymore.

This. Is. So. Depressing. Just a few goodbyes:

 {I mean, goodbye for now...let's not get crazy.}

Goodbye Armadillo Palace cheeseburger. You are no longer my bad day go-to indulgence.

Goodbye Crave Cupcakes. I'll really miss your real chunks of strawberry baked into the cake part of the cupcake.

Adios Lupe Tortilla margaritas. It's been fun - reeeal fun.

Peace out Ben and Jerry. This is going to be hard since you're walking distance from my house.

Well Hello there Jillian. I'm terrified of you, but I hope you want to help me.

Obviously, rather than eat my feelings on this one, I'm going to suck it up and get my sweat on.

My 30 Day Shred hasn't arrived, so I haven't exactly gotten started with JM. If you have any reviews, I'd love to hear them!

  2. Oh, I so need to follow this plan. I've been eating everything that's not nailed done. And my 30 Day Shred video arrived two months ago - and I haven't even taken the plastic off of it. Oops! Maybe this will finally be the week.

  3. You know I am a devotee of the 30 day shred--only 20 minutes a day, but a solid workout. Every time I complete day 30, it is SUCH a good feeling. Keep me posted on the shred...you've inspired me to break my copy back out and start over. Love you boo.

  5. Oh girl, I remember this day too... The metabolism slowdown hit me like a ton of bricks, which was SO hard to come to terms with for a gal whose scale never budged more than 2 lbs since senior year of high school! Now I'm stuck trying to budge 10 lbs off of my body- you'll be some good inspiration for me! (And yes, I'm typing this as I eat pimiento cheese spread out of a plastic tub. So I clearly have a ways to go.)
    xoxo,
    Lulu

  6. I felt like I was dying when I walked up the stairs. But I love her and she really does know how to make you work! I love 30DS!

    And also, I have to tell you, that you and I could never be friends. I have had to watch what I eat and my metabolism since 12. So the fact that you made it that long is completely unfair!
