My sweet grandmother came down to help me prepare and cook, and I cannot thank her enough. When it was all said and done, we had about 20 people...and 3 turkeys. I guess the motto this year was "go big or go home."
We had several "firsts" this year...my first time to host a holiday in our house, Ryan's first time ever to fry a turkey (and he did NOT burn the house down!), and our first time to combine both his and my family for a holiday. Here are some of my favorites of the day.
Aunt Danielle and Gatorade-faced Hayden
Me with my sweet grandmother
Dad and Daughter
Mom and Daughter
The men...taking care of the turkey
My not-so little brother and Ryan
My attempt at seating 17 adults without paper products
Absolute favorite of the day. Check out that glass of wine. :)
Happy Holidays!

Lequitta and her wine! Love that one. Looks like it was a great day! Love you, and love the blog!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful! I LOVE the Emma dinner sets from Pottery Barn! Thats what we're registered for - LOVE THEM, ALL OF THEM even the serving sets. What a huge accomplishmnet, hosting Thanksgiving - you should be so proud of yourself! Jeff's sister took on hostess this year too. Not sure if I could do it anytime soon. Need to get married first so I have more dishes, haha. :) Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this post? Everything looked great. I can't wait for Sunday to have our little dinner party with you guys. I am so thrilled you have a blog to keep me entertained in the early morning hours. With Sophie on board, sleep is something I just hear about now. :-)
